Why Bessey?
Bessey clamps have been a trusted tool in the industry for over 100 years. Their durable clamps rank high amongst users due to the high-quality steel material, even clamping pressure, and easy-to-use style.
Types of Clamps
At Mr. Tools, we carry a wide variety of Bessey clamps to meet all of your needs, including:
-
Bar clamps - A staple in a builder's toolbox. It’s a basic clamp that can be used for anything and everything.
-
Parallel clamps - A great tool for cabinet-making and table construction, as they can easily hold different pieces and parts of wood together.
-
Clutch-style bar clamps - A more economical clamp, a clutch-style bar clamp is commonly used for smaller projects.
-
Steel bar clamps - A clamp that is available in heavy-duty styles and has a clamping force of up to 7000 pounds. These clamps are used for steelwork or any job that requires high clamping pressure. The clamps are built to last and are not going to flex while being used.
Trigger clamps - Perfect for a job that requires quick clamping pressure. They have a quick clamp and release feature.
Choosing The Right Clamp for Your Project
It is important to keep in mind the following when determining which clamp to use for your project:
-
Clamp Throat Depth - The measurement between the jaw of the clamp and the clamp screw. This determines how thick the material you are working with can be. Smaller throat depth is used with smaller projects such as securing wood and other materials while you’re screwing, drilling, and hammering.
-
Clamping Capacity - Refers to the maximum amount of force a clamp can apply to hold materials together. Having a higher clamping force is needed to withstand and support hefty projects such as furniture construction or wood panel glue-ups (when multiple boards are glued together to create a large panel).
-
Clamping Force - The amount of pressure that the clamp applies to the surface of the object it is holding. A higher clamping force is needed for large projects like cabinet making.
User-Friendly and Easy to Use
All of our clamps at Mr. Tools are ready to serve as your extra pair of hands when you need them. The handles of the clamps have an ergonomic design, which ensures user comfort while still providing power and precision. Each of the Bessey clamps comes with an adjustable component. This allows for adjustments to the clamp force and orientation to ensure a seamless and successful project for beginners and experts alike.
