How To Know What Abrasive You Need

You will know what abrasive wheel to use depending on the material you are working with. Some wheels can be used with various materials, including wood, metal, and plastic. While other wheels are more specific to certain materials due to the wheel's composition. Abrasive wheels attach to your angle grinder or other machinery, such as a bench grinder, chop saw, or table saw, with the help of the Type R quick lock disc holder. This helps to hold the wheels securely in place.

Each type of abrasive wheel has a maximum RPM (revolutions per minute). Following the RPM of the wheel assures you are operating most efficiently and safely. Exceeding the recommended RPMs can not only damage the surface you are working with but also the tools and could cause injury.
